I would like to start off this message by thanking you all for your words of appreciation with respect to my time and service to the zoneBBS community. It was, for the most part, an honor and something which I very much enjoyed. Because I care, I'm writing you all this now.
The reasons that I quit was 2 fold. First, as you all obviously know, was the fact that J is MIA, even more so than he used to be. He continues to be to this day, as I understand it. The second reason relates back to the first. I wanted J to have to act somehow with regards to the Zone. Sell it, put some time and effort in to it, etc. Neither has happened. I regret to inform you all that my idea failed terribly.
I sacrificed my position as a CL with, what I thought, was the best interest of the site and its users at the time. I realize now, that this has yielded neither the staff nor the users anything worthwhile.
I have, therefor, decided it is in the best interest of the users that I return. While I can not bring sweeping changes to the site, I can do my part to keep it going. Essentially, I've come full circle. I left for the same reason I've returned. I look forward to seeing you all around the zone, and apreciate your support in this matter.

P.S. Contrary to what some of you may believe, this was, and is not a joke. The 3 of us did resign, and we have returned.
Please note that, what I'm about to post, I am doing in my personal capasity. I can't speak for anyone else, so, don't judge them on what I have to say.
Recently, probably for the last couple of months, I became increasingly frustrated with the involvement of certain staff members, or, shall I say, their lack of involvement.
I felt like it's only a few of us doing the work on here, while the others just joined the merry ride. I started thinking that, instead of me and a handful of other staff members doing all the work on here, I could just as well spend my time doing other things.
Like Scott, I felt that the zone is dying slowly, hence I decided to resign.
After the 3 of us resigned, nothing changed. I guess that secretly I hoped, like my 2 colleagues, that us resigning, would get more involvement from other staff members, ... I guess I was hoping that they becoming more involved, could save the day.
This didn't happen.
We talked, we talked a lot about all this, and, we came to wonder if our resignations contributed anything positive to the zone.
The answer to this question is debatable, for there will certainly be as many viewpoints on this as there are members of the zone.
I, and I guess Scott and Alicia, felt that, maybe resigning as we did, wasn't going to do the zone and the community any good.
That is why we individually decided to ask to be reinstated. Of course the final decision regarding our statusses wasn't with us, but, since the rest of the staff had no problems, ... here we are.
Now I realise that with us being back, nothing is gonna change drastically, ... but, speaking for myself, (although I'm sure the other 2 will agree), we will do all we can to maintain the zone, and if possible, to try and make it grow.
I know that many of you may feel that the zone isn't what it used to be. Keep in mind though, that with time, things change, and so do people.
I would like to encourage all of you, to talk to us about the things that bother you.
We may not be able to guarantee changes, ... it's impossible to always be able to please everyone. But, we can try, and, that's what we're here for.
